Capitol Quarter Midget Association opened in 1959 and is the longest operating paved quarter midget track in the state.  We are very proud of our 67 year legacy of youth racing.  We are located at 16460 S. US Highway 27 Lansing, Michigan right behind Reno’s North restaurant. 

Our club is an entry-level racing club for kids ages 4.55-17.  A quarter midget is similar to the larger midget race car, but scaled down to a quarter of the size.  Thus the name, quarter midget.  We are a non-profit club and we rely on members to keep the tradition alive! 

This sport focuses on sportsmanship, dedication, and discipline. These kids are fierce competitors on the track but best friends off the track.  They are continually helping each other improve by giving pointers and recognizing accomplishments.  Many of these families show up for every race at our club and travel around the mid-west and nationally.  About half of our racers move on to race at bigger tracks around the state.  We have several alumni racing micro sprints, modifieds, and even in the NASCAR Cup Series! 

We are a Nascar Youth Series sanctioned track and a member of the Midwest Thunder Racing Series as well as the Quad City Racing Series
